For those initiating a career in public accounting, Chilton & Medley accepts and encourages resumes from any college or university. In addition, Chilton & Medley works directly with accounting professors at selected colleges and universities for referrals. We prefer candidates with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Chilton & Medley also participates in a recruiting process that kicks off in early September each year, with offers made to prospects prior to Thanksgiving for a start date in early January.

Q: What does tax season feel like at Chilton & Medley?
A: Chilton & Medley values family and encourages its team members
to balance their personal and work responsibilities year-round. As for
any accounting firm, tax season is literally a “taxing” time
of year for our staff requiring additional work hours. Chilton & Medley
supports it employees during this stressful time of year by providing
dinner--prepared right in our own staff kitchen--every night and lunch
for any Saturday work. Impromptu ice cream sundae parties are held during
tax season as well. Also, we provide additional staff support to help
accommodate the increased workload. And, we are open to new ideas and
ways to help relieve work-related stress while still providing high-quality,
timely services to our clients.

A: Our street address is 462 South Fourth Street, on the 25th Floor of
Meidinger Tower in downtown Louisville. We are located in the heart
of Louisville’s business district and are within walking distance
of numerous restaurants, ranging from fast food to bistros to four-star
dining. Just across the street from our office building is the historic
luxury hotel, The Seelbach, and we are just four blocks from the Kentucky
Center for the Arts, the state’s performing arts showcase.
